Salomon XW Fury + Z14
$1,030.00
Released January, 2009
The Pros:Very versatile, handles variety of snow conditions better than many typical all-purpose skis. Outperforms many in this price range for use on powder snow. Highly responsive turning control in powder.
The Cons:Tendency to "chatter" on ice, control decreases greatly. Control decreases rapidly in slushy or wet snow. Slightly higher price point than competitors' skis with similar specs/intended purpose.

It is designed with an XL chassis that is 85mm wide, making it perform well both on piste and on ungroomed slopes. The XW Fury + Z14 includes a 3D stealth tip and an oversized Pulsepad layer molded into the ski to reduce vibrations. It also has a Protrak binding system and differs with the XW Fury + Z12 since it has Double Ti Laminate reinforcement for improved edge grip and responsiveness.
