The Pros:Lightweight materials used, make it easy to carry around and more maneuverable. Good carving ability on most surfaces. Gain speed very quickly on most surfaces.
The Cons:Very poor floatation on powder. Lots of chatter once you hit the crud, hard on the legs.
The Extreme is an all-mountain men's ski from K2's Twin Tip lineup and is an upgrade to the EXT. The ski is designed with a twin tip and tail for optimal performance in both directions and has 3.5mm edges, making it resistant to cracking.

It has a Sidewall construction with ABSorb ABS-Urethane hybrid sidewalls to maximize control and absorb impact. The Extreme features a wood core and has triaxial braiding for torsional rigidity and strength. It also has a standard camber, allowing it to perform on a variety of terrains, and is suited for riding both on and off piste. The ski is recommended for use with K2's SchizoFrantic or Flat bindings.
