Atomic Scandium Select

The Atomic Scandium Select is a pair of skis from Atomic’s 2009/2010 lineup. While nearly identical to the “Scandium” version, these are differentiated by the minimalist red/grey/black color scheme.

The skis have been designed for athletic on-piste skiers looking for a smooth ride. This pair of skis have what Atomic calls an “energy module,” meaning a layer of scandium metal material designed to absorb destabilizing vibration and send it in the opposite direction. This entire process is described by the manufacturer as “U-Turn” technology, a feature that reduces the amount of effort required by the user to achieve more precise turns and better overall control on the slopes. The Atomic Scandium Select skis also feature a cap fiber construction, plus XTO 10 or XTL 9 binding options. A light track plate is optionally available as well.
